Service95 Book Club Heads To Bali – Here’s What We’re Up To
Ella Marlow-Gilks

I am so excited to share that Service95 Book Club is at Ubud Writers & Readers Festival in Bali this weekend! Kicking off today, we’ve partnered on some amazing events that address issues, such as a panel on women’s rights in conflict to an event introducing spoken world artists for the annual Poetry Slam. (See the full line-up here.)

I’m so jealous that some of the Service95 team are there to soak up all the festival has to offer – what could be better than books in paradise?! To celebrate, we’ve got an insider guide to Ubud and a My Hometown interview with the festival’s Indonesian programme manager, Gustra Adnyana.

I also urge you to read this hugely impactful piece highlighting the important work City Of Joy is doing to support sexual violence survivors in Congo. Elsewhere, we meet queer femme crafting community Material Grrrlz and share the books redefining perceptions of masculinity – plenty of food for thought.
