It’s Our Third Birthday!

It’s Our Third Birthday!

What started because of my love of making lists (yes, really!) and sharing recommendations with friends, has evolved into a global platform. From our weekly newsletters, the At Your Service podcast and Service95 Book Club, to all the incredible contributors we’ve worked with, inspiring voices we’ve spotlighted and the powerful and playful stories we’ve featured on our website, Service95 has become so much more than I ever imagined – and I’ve loved every step of the journey so far.

It was really hard to choose, but seeing as we’ve turned three, I wanted to share my three standout Service95 moments so far...

1. Talking With George Saunders For The Service95 Book Club – In my opinion, he’s one of the world’s greatest living storytellers. I’m obsessed with his short stories, and his novel Lincoln In The Bardo floored me. Learning about how he crafted this masterpiece was a pinch-me moment.

2. Profiling 5 Amazing South African Drag Artists – Our article Big Makeup, Big Hair, Big Costumes story spotlighted the fierce talent in South Africa and introduced the queens you have to know. Yes, honey!

3. Making A Case For Messy Dinner Parties – Lastly, I absolutely loved this story on saying goodbye to pristine dinner parties. Instead, bring the vibes by rustling up a banging meal, embracing candle-wax covered tables and raucous behaviour with your mates.

Speaking of threes, make sure you check out our timely feature, The Cultural Power Of Three (And How To Use It To Get Ahead) as well as our 3 most-read pieces by you guys. And, just time for New York Fashion Week, we’ve rounded up our favourite restaurants in the city – starring my go-tos: L’Industrie and Thai Diner.

A huge thank you to all of you lovely readers for coming along for the ride, we couldn’t do any of this without you. In fact, I’d love to know what else you’ve enjoyed from Service95, so please let us know in the comments on our birthday Instagram post – I’ll be keeping an eye out!

Here’s to another year of being at your service!

Much love,

Dua x
