Every time I visit Paris, I leave with the same feeling – there’s just something about the city that gets under your skin in the best way possible. Recently, I was lucky enough to be a Chanel girl for the day while attending Matthieu Blazy’s first Haute Couture Show as the brand’s creative director. And because Paris is the home of couture, it was also the perfect opportunity to catch up with my friend and celebrated designer Simon Porte Jacquemus (you can watch our BTS video in his atelier here).
Everything about the trip was pure magic – but we can’t talk about the City of Love without mentioning the food! We ended our days at the best French brasseries, usually followed by a hunt for the perfect late-night cocktail bar.
I’ve made a note of my favourite restaurants in Paris – ones to bookmark for your next trip!
Bistrot Des Tournelles
A traditional French bistro near Place de la Bastille, where you can try all the classic dishes, made to perfection.
Bistrot Paul Bert
This place is an 11th arrondissement institution: full of locals and and the steak au poivre is next-level.
Sugaar
Over in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Sugaar is that dream mix of delicious food (the steak!) and a great vibe. Perfect for dinners that go on late into the night.
Le Servan
Here, French Filipina sisters Tatiana and Katia serve up local classics with an Asian twist – think pork and langoustine ravioli with ponzu dressing. Delicious.
Casa Pregonda
For a touch of the Balearics, right in the 2nd. From the first bite of gilda, you’ll realise you’re in for a good night.
Double Dragon
Filipino-influenced dishes and natural wine in the 11th arrondissement, for when you’re looking for that extra hit of flavour.
Early June
A wine bar hosting travelling chefs near Canal St Martin, so there’s always something new on the menu.
Clamato
A great seafood spot from the equally great minds behind Septime, serving up small plates on Rue de Charonne.
Au Top
A rooftop restaurant in the Marais, grilling meat and seafood over fire.
Racines
A ‘bistrosteria’ featuring dishes from Sardinia and Paris on the beautiful Passage des Panoramas. A modern Parisian classic.
Bon manger!
