It’s a horrifying trend, with thousands of cases reported each year. People close to me have been victims, and now when we go out, we’re not just watching our drinks, but looking out for needles too. I’ve heard of people wearing thick denim and leather in the hopes of keeping themselves safe. It’s both terrifying and angering, and I hope Ella’s piece proves the need for stricter repercussions than are currently in place.
