Drag, In All Its Glory

Drag, In All Its Glory

I recently had the pleasure of doing a painting class with the incredible drag artist Trixie Mattel. Trixie and I worked on creating our own version of the cover of my new album, Radical Optimism, and it was so much fun. Drag is an art form I’ve always had a lot of love and appreciation for – each artist is so unique and has their own story to tell.

This week’s issue showcases drag in all its glory: from Amrou Al-Kadhi on the power they feel performing as Glamrou to an interview with the founder of the drag king troupe Häus of Dons, Daisy Doris May, plus a spotlight on five incredible drag queens to know in South Africa, along with much more. I am beyond thrilled to share this issue filled with so much talent and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I have...
