  1. Dukkeobi Restaurant – “It’s a traditional Korean restaurant run by an elderly grandmother, with a ’70s-style interior that may seem a bit messy but offers authentic Korean food. The random opening and closing hours add to its charm.”
  2. Yasik Pocha – “Located in an alley next to the underpass in Yeonhui-dong, this indoor pojangmacha (street food stall) offers reasonable prices and portions, with a nostalgic old-school vibe. It’s perfect for those who want to drink but prefer to avoid heavy, fancy dishes, while still enjoying great taste and atmosphere.”
  3. Gwangjang Market – “The oldest traditional market in Seoul, You can find street foods like bindaetteok (mung bean pancakes), tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and kimbap, as well as traditional hanbok (Korean clothing) and handcrafted goods. It’s a place where you can experience the lively and unique market culture of Korea.”
  4. Insadong – “A place where tradition and modernity blend, offering a wide range of foods. You can especially enjoy traditional Korean snacks like han-gwa (traditional sweets), tteok (rice cakes) and yeot (sticky rice candy). There are also many restaurants offering hanjeongsik (traditional Korean meals) and traditional tea houses, making it a great place to enjoy Korea’s old food culture. Recently, fusion desserts and hanok cafes have become more popular, offering a unique opportunity to experience both traditional and modern tastes.”
