From Sushi To Shopping, My 5 Favourite Spots To Visit In Tokyo

As you read this letter, I’ll be preparing for two shows at Tokyo’s Saitama Super Arena. The last time I was here was before the launch of Radical Optimism, and I’m so excited to finally be able to dance and sing with you all, while soaking in everything this incredible city has to offer.

I also took a trip down memory lane and remembered all the places I visited in Tokyo during the Future Nostalgia tour. I’ve listed them below and will definitely be checking out some of these amazing spots again. Soon, I’ll have more recommendations to add in for you to enjoy as well...

  1. Narukiyo Izakaya – A no-menu spot for dinner that I am obsessed with: great food, a really fun vibe and the owner seems to have an obsession with having phallic objects all around.
  2. Mori Art Museum – Such a cool museum with amazing exhibitions. (When I was last in Tokyo, I went to Listen To The Sound Of The Earth Turning, which made me rethink who we are as people and the state the world is in right now.)
  3. Sushi Yuu – My absolute favourite sushi spot in the city.
  4. Studio Ghibli Museum – If you’re a fan of Ghibli anime then this is a must. It’s so fun to dive into this creative world (and there’s the Ghibli theme park, too).
  5. Amore Vintage – The best collection of vintage designer bags and accessories, and the occasional apparel.
