Watch Author Vincent Delecroix Read From His Novel, Small Boat
In a Service95 Book Club exclusive, author Vincent Delecroix and Helen Stevenson, the translator of his novel Small Boat, read two extracts from the book, which is Dua’s Monthly Read for July.
The first extract, read by Vincent in French, imagines the scene in the English Channel when the small boat sinks and as those on board and in the water make increasingly desperate calls to the rescue service. The second extract, read by Helen, is the opening scene of the book, which introduces us to the radio operator who was responsible for sending help – but didn’t.
