Gamechanging Creatives

Gamechanging Creatives

In the past two years we’ve spotlighted hundreds of stories of incredible women, but as tomorrow is International Women’s Day, this week we’ve got a full issue dedicated to an inspiring group of creatives who are changing the game – through art, film, writing and more. I love our feature on artist Outi Pieski, whose work is beautifully rooted in Sámi traditions of women’s power, and this amazing interview with Ugandan activist Barbie Kyagulanyi. You may have heard about her recent BAFTA-nominated documentary film, Bobi Wine: The People’s President, which shares her and her husband’s incredible story.

Sudanese-American poet Safia Elhillo also discusses shaking off the patriarchy through her writing, and the team has pulled together the best career advice from some of the incredible creatives we’ve featured in our The Way I Work... series. I hope you come away from reading these stories feeling inspired...
