Lola Shoneyin

Lola Shoneyin is a Nigerian poet, novelist and publisher. Her novel The Secret Lives Of Baba Segi’s Wives has been widely translated; she has also published three poetry collections and ten children’s books. Through her NGO Book Buzz Foundation, she directs the Aké Arts & Book Festival and the Lagos International Festival of Illustrations. She is also the founder of Ouida Books, which publishes contemporary African voices. She is currently completing a series of children’s picture books set in northern Nigeria.
